Accessibility standard
Our goal is a website that anyone can use, on any device and with any assistive tool, and we designed cherringtonplumbingservices.com to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA.
Design measures
The measures, in short:
- Descriptive wording on every link and button
- Full keyboard access, with the focus always visible
- Layouts that fit small screens and stay usable when zoomed
- Real text throughout, never text baked into images
- Alternative text on photos
- Headings in a sensible order
- Contrast between text and background tested
- Labeled form fields and plain error messages
Evaluation
Before anything new goes live, each page is run through automated accessibility testing and is then checked at desktop and phone screen sizes.
Limits
Some images may be described only in general terms. If you find a part of the site that does not work with your device or your assistive tools, that is our mistake to correct.
